We decide to walk all the way back to the railway station, instead of using the cable car. The walk is pleasant and offers beautiful views over the city. |

How to reach Bergamo : The airport of Bergamo Orio Al Serio (BGY or LIME) is served by many airlines (and several low cost airlines) offering direct service from many domestic and international destinations. The airport is conveniently connected to the city by frequent and cheap buses. If you are already nearby, the train is also very convenient. From the railway station there are buses going to the cable car entrance and straight to the downtown. It is also possible to hike from the railway station to the oldest part of the city, in about 30-40 minutes. Please click the following link should you need an airport taxi in Bergamo. |
